Please submit only if it is not possible to prepare slide specimens. Precautions for cytology tests Cytology tests are not necessarily a definitive diagnosis. Please be aware that the test results are based on the specimen you submitted and do not reflect the entire lesion. We recommend comprehensive diagnosis using histological examination. (Screening tests may result in false negative results.) Primary screening may be outsourced to Tokyo Central Pathology Laboratory (TCPL). In that case, a "T" mark will be displayed after the cytotechnologist's name on the cytology test report. Z10: Please prepare a smear specimen, place it in the object case shown below, and submit it at room temperature. "
