This item measures 11 Loci of HLA genes (HLA-A, B, C, DRB1, DRB3, DRB4, DRB5, DQA1, DQB1, DPA1, DPB1).
Acceptable days are Monday through Friday. Please be sure to state the relationship, name of the clinical diagnosis, name of the drug administered, and history of blood transfusion and transplantation. Please avoid duplicate requests of other items.
Since the affects of contamination are greater in this test method, please handle specimens with care when collecting them.
●About HLA Specimens
1. Be sure to collect the designated amount of blood in a special container. If the designated amount is unavoidably not reached, open the lid to release the negative pressure.
2. PCR-SSP and PCR-rSSO methods will be used in combination as needed.
3. If you request HLA typing after transplantation, please note that it may not be possible to determine the alleles of the recipient and the donor due to their admixture.

Collect blood in the container shown below, mix well, and preserve refrigerated. However, in the case of recipients, the cell counts may have decreased and thus DNA may not be recovered due to chemotherapy, etc., so please submit at least two containers (PN5) of 5.0mL of blood if the recipient's white blood cell count (WBC) is below 1000/μL. Since the affects of contamination are greater in this test method, please handle specimens with care when collecting them.
