A method that uses a next-generation sequencer to simultaneously determine the base sequences of a huge number of DNA fragments.

COMMENT

Please submit a pair of unstained specimen slides and a blood sample (with EDTA-2K) collected on the same day. Please keep it refrigerated and submit it within 14 days after blood collection. If the above number of days is exceeded, please freeze and store (recommended at -20℃) before submitting. We recommend a tumor cell percentage of 20% or more in unstained specimen slides. Please see below for points to note when submitting unstained specimen slides.
Please avoid duplicate requests with other items. This testing method increases the influence of contamination, so please be careful when handling the specimen. The number of days required may vary depending on the measurement and analysis situation.
Notes on submission
・Please submit an unstained specimen slide and a blood (EDTA-2K) sample collected on the same day as a pair.
・Please keep it refrigerated and submit it within 14 days after blood collection. If the above number of days is exceeded, please freeze and store (recommended at -20℃) before submitting.
・Please be sure to enter the tumor cell content rate as it will be required for consideration by the expert panel.
・If the tumor cell content is less than 20%, please mark the tumor area from the back of all unstained specimen slides. If you wish to perform macrodissection regardless of the tumor cell content, please submit a slide with the tumor area marked.
・Please note that acid-decalcified specimens may not be able to be tested because the DNA has degraded.
・Please submit tissue approximately 16mm2 per slide.
・When requesting this test, please be sure to also request the "Nucleic Acid Extraction NCC Oncopanel (Item Code: 0X157 4)".
●Submission conditions
Unstained specimen slides must be histopathologically evaluated to ensure that the proportion of tumor cells present is at least the amount required for testing. If the percentage of tumor cells is less than that, mark the tumor cell area from the back of the unstained specimen slide.  Please note that if the sample is submitted without marking, macrodissection may not be possible and the results may be affected, such as false negatives.
●About unstained specimen slides
Immediately immerse the collected tissue in a 10% neutral buffered formalin solution and fix it (recommended fixation time is 6 to 48 hours). When submitting, please prepare serial sections at the specified thickness from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) blocks prepared within the last 3 years, if possible. Please be careful to avoid contamination by changing the microtome blade for each specimen when slicing. Please note that as nucleic acids are fragmented due to formalin fixation of tissues, analysis may not be possible depending on the type and composition of the fixative, fixation time, and storage condition of the specimen after fixation. .
●About biopsy specimens
Biopsy specimens often contain only a small amount of specimen, and there is a possibility that most of the tissue itself has disappeared or that the tissue has become a piece of tissue that does not contain tumor cells. Please be aware of this in advance.
●Blood (added EDTA-2K)
Collect blood in a special container, mix well, and store refrigerated. Please submit the specimen within 14 days after collection.
