GFRcys Estimation Formula for Japanese People

Male: Value of estimated GFRcys (mL/min/1.73m2) = (104 × Cys - C-1.019 × 0.996Age) - 8
Female: Value of estimated GFRcys (mL/min/1.73m2) = (104 × Cys - C-1.019 × 0.996Age × 0.929) - 8

We will estimate serum cystatin C using the measurement results based on the international reference substance.
This applies to those over 18 years. (This does not apply to those under 18 years.)

Reporting Requirements

  • We can report the value of estimated GFRcys only if requested simultaneously with "Cystatin C" (Item Code No.06199 5).
  • If any of the following applies to you, we cannot report it:
    • Only one of "Cystatin C" or "Estimated GFRcys" is requested.
    • The age and sex are not specified on the request form.
    • The age is under 18 years.
