(About Reference Values) The cutoff value for deep mycosis is 20 pg/mL. Please avoid duplicate requests of items other than endotoxin quantitative. This test measures plasma (1→3)-β-D-glucan. Please collect 2.0 mL of blood in a special container (PE2), mix well, and immediately submit refrigerated. Data may be elevated for glucan preparations (antineoplastic agents), administration of blood products, etc. purified with cellulose membranes, and blood dialyzed with cellulose membranes, etc. In addition, nonspecific reactions may occur in multiple myeloma and hypergammaglobulinemia. It may be impossible to test hemolyzed specimens depending on the degree of hemolysis.
Collect blood in the container shown below, mix well, and immediately preserve refrigerated.
