COMMENT

Avoid freezing. Acceptable days are Monday to Friday. Please be sure to clearly state the relationship, clinical diagnosis name, administered drug name, blood transfusion history, and transplant history. If two or more HLA tests are requested at the same time, 2.0mL of blood can be used for the test. This testing method increases the effects of contamination, so please be careful when handling the specimen.
●About specimens for HLA/transplant-related tests
1.MLC (mixed lymphocyte culture) is a pre-booked test, so please be sure to contact our sales representative before blood collection.
2. Be sure to collect the specified amount of blood in a special container. If the amount is unavoidably less than the specified amount, open the lid and release the negative pressure. However, if you are requesting MLC (mixed lymphocyte culture) at the same time, it is important that it is sterile, so be sure to collect the specified amount of blood.
3. For HLA-A, B, C, DPB1, DRB1, DQB1 (DNA typing) tests, PCR-SSP method and PCR-rSSO method will be used in conjunction with the test as necessary.
4. If you request HLA typing after transplantation, please note that the alleles of the recipient and donor may be mixed and it may not be possible to determine the alleles.
[Note]
If you are requesting HLA typing after transplantation, please be sure to include the pre-transplant HLA results and the donor's HLA results on the request form.
●About types of HLA DNA typing
Please check the latest information on the website of the Japanese Histocompatibility Society below.
https://jshi.smoosy.atlas.jp/ja/hla_data
Collect blood into the container shown below, mix well, and store in the refrigerator.
If two or more HLA test items are requested at the same time, the test can be performed using 2.0mL of blood.
However, in the case of recipients, the number of cells may decrease due to chemotherapy, etc., and DNA may not be recovered, so please submit a minimum number of cells of 2 x 106. For recipients whose white blood cell count (WBC) is less than 1000/μL, please submit two or more 2.0 mL blood bottles (PN2 containers) or 5.0 mL blood blood (PN5 containers).
This testing method increases the influence of contamination, so please be careful when handling the specimen.
