COMMENT

Avoid freezing. Acceptable days are Monday through Friday. Please be sure to indicate the relationship, name of the clinical diagnosis, name of the drug administered, and history of blood transfusion and transplantation. If two or more HLA test items are requested at the same time, 2.0 mL of blood is sufficient for testing. Since the affects of contamination are greater in this test method, please collect and handle the specimens with care.
●About Specimens for HLA/transplant-related Tests
1. Since the MLC (mixed lymphocyte culture) test requires a reservation, please be sure to contact the sales staff in charge prior to blood collection.
2. Be sure to collect the designated amount of blood in a special container. If the designated amount is unavoidably not reached, open the lid to release the negative pressure. However, if it is a simultaneous request with MLC (mixed lymphocyte culture), be sure to collect the designated amount of blood since it is important that the blood be aseptic.
3. HLA-A, B, C, DPB1, DRB1, and DQB1 (DNA typing) tests will be performed in combination with PCR-SSP and PCR-rSSO methods as needed.
4. If you request HLA typing after transplantation, please note in advance that there may be cases where the recipient and donor alleles are mixed and cannot be determined.
[Notes]
If you request post-transplant HLA typing, please be sure to write the pre-transplant HLA results and the donor's HLA results on the request form.
●About the Types of HLA DNA Typing
