COMMENT

Please avoid cryopreservation.
Acceptable days are Monday to Friday.
Please make sure to specify the relationship, clinical diagnosis, names of administered drugs, transfusion history, and transplantation history.
If two or more HLA tests are requested simultaneously, the testing can be performed with 2.0 mL of blood. This testing method can be affected by contamination, so please be careful when handling the specimen. This test reports both the HLA type (serological equivalent) and the estimated alleles (genotype for the first and second fields).

-Regarding specimens for HLA and transplant-related tests
1.“05178 9:MLC (Mixed Lymphocyte Culture)” is a test that requires prior reservation. Please be sure to contact the sales representative before blood collection.
2. Always collect the specified volume of blood using the designated container. If it is unavoidable that the collected volume is less than specified volume, open the lid to release the negative pressure. However, when requesting simultaneously with “05178 9:MLC (Mixed Lymphocyte Culture)”, sterility is critical;therefore, be sure to collect the full specified volume.
3. When requesting HLA typing after transplantation, please note that the recipient’s and donor’s alleles may be mixed, making interpretation impossible in some cases.
-Notes
When requesting HLA typing after transplantation, please make sure to include the pre-transplant HLA results and the donor’s HLA results on the request form.

-Types of HLA DNA Typing
Please check the latest information on the website of the Japanese Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics.

Collect blood in the container shown below, mix well, and store under refrigeration.
However, in the case of recipients, the cell count may decrease due to chemotherapy or other treatments, making it impossible to recover DNA. Therefore, please submit at least 2 × 106 cells. For recipients with a white blood cell (WBC) count less than 1,000/μL, please provide either two or more tubes of 2.0 mL blood (PN2 container) or one tube of 5.0 mL blood (PN5 container).
