COMMENT


The purpose of this test is to analyze RET fusion gene, RET gene mutation, BRAF gene V600E mutation in genomic DNA and RNA extracted from cancer tissue, and to assist in determining the indications for the drugs listed separately for thyroid cancer and medullary thyroid cancer..
The percentage of tumor cells required for the test is at least 30%.

Avoid duplicate requests in one sample. Since contamination has a greater effect on this test method, handle specimens with care when collecting them.
When requesting this test, ensure to also request the nucleic acid extraction item (item code: M9514)
●About submission of unstained specimen slides
Immediately immerse the collected tissue in a 10% neutral buffered formalin solution and fix it (recommended fixation time is 6 to 48 hours). For submission, please prepare 5-μm-thick serial sections from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue blocks.For submission, please prepare 5-μm-thick serial sections from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue blocks. Be careful to avoid contamination by changing the microtome blade for each specimen when slicing. Note that as nucleic acids are fragmented due to formalin fixation of tissues, analysis may not be possible depending on the type and composition of the fixative, fixation time, and storage condition of the specimen after fixation.
