A method in which an antigen is reacted with a solid-phase antibody, an enzyme-labeled antibody is reacted with the antigen in a secondary reaction, a chemiluminescent substrate is added and the luminescence intensity is measured.
COMMENT
Total HCG is measured. The antibody recognizes HCG-β. It is useful for the diagnosis and prognosis management of trophoblastic diseases. This is the recommended method in “Terms of Management for Trophoblastic Disorders, 3rd Edition”, and the measurement sensitivity is 1.0 mIU/mL.
