Neutralization reaction
A method that takes advantage of the fact that viruses lose infectivity (neutralization) due to their reaction with antibodies against viruses.
After reacting the virus with the antibody, it is inoculated into cultured cells susceptible to the virus, and the presence of neutralizing antibodies is determined by the presence or absence of cytopathogenic effect (CPE).
