HI (Hemagglutination inhibition)
Hemagglutination inhibition reaction
A method that utilizes the fact that the red blood cell agglutination ability of viruses is inhibited by antibodies against the virus. The antigen-antibody complex is reacted with red blood cells, and the presence of antibodies against the virus is determined by the presence or absence of inhibition of agglutination.
